Hebrews 1:10-2:4
Back in first century Jerusalem, the Christians living there knew that the Lord was going to judge the city for her sins and bring down her temple as punishment, so they put their faith in Jesus to save them. But as the years went by and nothing happened, their faith in Him started to wane and they became distracted by the surrounding culture and its obsession with lesser things. Hebrews was written to call the believers back to Christ. Christians today still need its message. A greater judgement is coming: that of all the world. The only way to be saved from it is Jesus. We must hold onto him.
