Hebrews 3:1-6
Moses was a remarkable leader and an unmatched prophet in Israel, until Jesus who stands far above him. Christ is the only fully reliable representative of God ever to walk the earth. He is also the only perfect priest capable of representing us in heaven. Why? Because where Moses was a good servant of God’s household, Jesus is the son of the household who is now building and reigning over God’s kingdom from the heavenly throne, just as God promised, long before, to king David. Moses contributed to the Old Testament; Jesus fulfils it. He is altogether greater than Moses or anyone else. We must fix our eyes on him to gain eternal life.
