Hebrews 6:7-12
The writer of Hebrews has passionately encouraged his Christian friends in Jerusalem not to turn away from Jesus for salvation. If they do they will harden themselves, and lose everything. Jesus brought good them; let them grow his good crops in their lives! And the writer is confident they will because God’s grace is already visible in them. Their behaviour has been filled with love for God’s people, showing they are the Lord’s. Let them persist in this attitude and be full of the Lord. So this warning is actually part of the way that the grace of God holds onto these folk, how He will keep them safe from wandering. We need to hear such things for they help us to mature in our faith.
