Jonah 4:6-11
Through this short story, Jonah has shown himself unwilling to accept God on His own terms. And so he’s either disobeyed God’s commands or obeyed them grudgingly. Why is this? He judges the mercy God shows to be unwise. But this is idolatry: making God in a form which suits you. We are called to learn the truth of God through Jesus, not invent a God we like.
